Artfully sculpted shapes and opulent finishes exude Carla’s signature style
Specsavers continues to build upon the success of its past collaborative ranges with Australian designers and now announces a new collaboration with a true fashion pioneer, Italian born Australian fashion designer and business woman – Carla Zampatti. Exclusive to Specsavers and available in stores nationwide from 12 October, the collection includes 14 optical and eight prescription sunglasses. The campaign is fronted by Australian actress and Carla Zampatti fan, Marta Dusseldorp.
Representing a new Australian collaboration for the iconic designer, whose legacy spans over five decades in the fashion spotlight, the range has been designed by Carla in true Carla Zampatti style. The collection is a nod to iconic moments in fashion, reinvented for the modern day woman who wants to stand apart from the crowd in her glasses.
Retro-inspired classics from past decades are reinterpreted with fresh, contemporary flair, making them highly wearable and unique. True to Carla’s signature, many of the designs exude a gracefulness, and a sense of fluidity, defined by easy-to-wear shapes created with extraordinary craftsmanship and attention to detail.
For Carla, the new collection has been designed with the modern woman in mind. The Carla Zampatti woman is purposeful and with an independence of spirit, and this is as true as ever for the Carla Zampatti eyewear collection.
“I’ve designed a collection I would wear. It is a collection that is both practical and flattering, offering versatile solutions for the office, home or simply a day at the beach. Every occasion, every woman, regardless of age or style.”
Bold yet timeless, frames range from a traditional palette of black and white, to feminine pastels and bold splashes of colour. Quality finishes and luxurious materials like shiny gold accents and velvet matte finishes offer the wearer a selection that is both contemporary and chic. Each pair is adorned with Carla’s statement signature branding.
Carla is passionate about eyewear, she wears her sunglasses both indoors and outdoors. “I buy sunglasses by the dozen”, says Carla. “I love sunglasses, I always have, that’s why the idea of designing an eyewear range really appealed to me. That’s why I partnered with Specsavers, so I had more to wear!”

A huge admirer of Carla and what she has done for women, Marta is honoured to be the face of the Carla Zampatti x Specsavers collaboration. “As a longstanding Carla Zampatti fan, I was honoured to get the call asking me to be the face of her first glasses collection for Specsavers. Just like her clothing the frames are bold yet timeless, and range from a traditional palette of black and white, to feminine pastels and bold splashes of colour. Just like Carla, I love accessories, so I’m having a lot of fun playing with all the different styles.”
